Had the best dinner experience here during our trip to Amsterdam. We were given a recommendation to come here and it did not disappoint. It felt like we were able to catch a glimpse of real Amsterdam life not being in a heavily touristy location. The service was excellent making us feel super special. The food was delish. The tuna appetizer was my favorite - creative fun and yummy. The ribs just melted in your mouth 🤤. I wish we could go back. Thank you Berber for treating us with such great hospitality and Chef Dave for the rec!

Our annual visit was a disappointing experience. Again. We really want to enjoy the food but the fact is that it still is not worth it. It's a mystery why so many people seem to enjoy it. To be clear, I'm referring to the main dishes. The starters were ok. But oysters and kitchen prepared steak tartare are generally a safe choice. Although we also ordered fried squid and it was served still drowning in oil. No, the real problem was the sea bass and the tournedos. They were just way below par. The sea bass was gone in four bites. The sauces were much too salt. I don't think anyone from the kitchen staff had a good try. And when we asked if we could talk away the leftover French fries. We were asked...'Why? What were we planning to do with them...' I kid you not. See you next year. Or in two years.

I had a good experience in this place the food is nice and good cooked. The service is friendly and dedicated. Prices are fair The venue is nice and well decorated. Maybe I would have appreciated a menu with more options. I founded the selection a bit poor. Last note, the plates are actually prettier than what they look in the pictures in the menu I got at the table.

April 19th : Had to come back for trying the menu. Started off with the Spicy Tuna and that was a real nice dish, originally served and good combinations. The main course was a real good quality and well prepared piece of meat served with a lettuce salad as it should be, fresh, flavoured with a real goid dressing. Defintly something to promote. Staff like last time ... don't find that so much anymore... April 8th : Only went in for a drink. What immediately was obvious, really good staff. They understand hospitality. I'll come back to try the food. The restaurant itself really looks good, quite a styling. The menu card has photos .... why? good reason for 'you' to go to them and see why ...

I only managed to snap a photo of my main (lamb). I guess I was distracted by the great ambiance, fantastic wine and yummy food. My partner and I shared a starter (€14), both had a main (€24) and shared a bottle of wine (€37). Will definitely be returning!

Nice restaurant in Oost. Very good dishes with dubious names. The espresso martini was fabulous. One remark: investing in airco isn't a bad idea.

As always, we had a great time here. The food was delicious, the location is beautiful and the service was perfect. Remains a favorite in Amsterdam.

Amazing evening. Passed my degree and decided to celebrate here. Food, drinks and service was impeccable. At the end Berber even took a polaroid of us to remember this amazing night. Will definitely be back for more!
